Touch-me-not Family

Impatiens capensis - Common names: Spotted touch-me-not. Jewelweed., or Orange touch-me-not

Plants 2 to 5 feet tall. Moist woods, brooksides, wet roadside ditches.

Used as a treatment for poison ivy. Crushed leaves are poulticed on recent poison ivy rash. Some people drink a tea made from the leaves as a poison ivy rash preventative.
